Laura Sims is a full time studio artist and has operated Indigo Stone Studio for 25 years. She is an author and member of Southern Highland Craft Guild, Piedmont Craftsmen and Carolina Designer Craftsman. She also teaches at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, Campbell Folk School and Penland School of Craft. Let marbling work its irresistable magic on you. Come ready to be hypnotized by the graceful movement of colorful paints flowing across the surface of the water-based liquid. Watch in amazement as the beautiful organic shapes are permanently transferred to silk and cotton. Also, students will receive a guide to color mixing and information on setting up an inexpensive and efficient workspace. Students will go home with a beautiful selection of facbrics to be used in fabric collage, quilting or Nuno felting and a silk charmeuse scarf.
Workshop days typically begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 5:30 p.m. The final workshop day may end by 3:00 p.m. for early departures.
WORKSHOP FEES: $165, plus a materials fee $35
Meals and overnight accommodations are available for an additional $50 per day for a shared room,or $65 for a private room.

You will receive a full refund if the class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment. No other refunds are issued.
Should the workshop be cancelled, participants will be notified by e-mail no later than 21 days prior to the workshop date.
